Development Support
From concept to flight hardware and in-flight validation. We support rocket and space hardware development with technology proven in our own programs.
Development Support Services
Chart is a space development startup that builds its own hybrid rocket engines and flies real hardware into the stratosphere. We bring the technology honed on our own development floor to your space hardware and rocket programs. From embedded development to R&D support and stratospheric validation at roughly 30 km—a capability unique to Chart—we work alongside you from concept through flight hardware and demonstration.
01.
Embedded Development for Space and Onboard Hardware
We support embedded development of the electronics and control systems carried on rockets and satellites. One stop from requirements definition to board design, firmware implementation, and ground testing. Drawing on experience with hardware we have actually flown, we build equipment that works reliably within tight weight, power, and environmental constraints.
02.
R&D Support for Rockets and Propulsion Systems
Building on what we have learned developing our own hybrid rocket engines, we support R&D on propulsion systems and airframes—from concept studies to combustion testing, data acquisition, and analysis. We work in step with your engineering team, moving development forward through repeated prototyping and demonstration.
03.
In-Flight Validation on Stratospheric Flights
Using the stratospheric balloons Chart operates (roughly 30 km altitude), you can validate hardware still in development in a near-space environment. Capture flight data under genuine conditions—low temperature, low pressure, and cosmic radiation. No costly vacuum chambers or overseas facilities required: validation happens in Japan, on a short timeline. Testing the ground cannot reproduce becomes available from the earliest stages of development.
