We are developing the world's smallest fin-driven robot that can travel both on land and underwater. It is designed for rescue support and for surveying places people cannot enter.

Amphibious Mobile Robot Development
We are building a machine that moves using fins. A single fin mechanism lets it travel both underwater and on land, so one mission can cover ice, sand, rough unpaved terrain, and the inside of pipes. Applications range widely across places that are hard for people to enter, such as pipe inspection, disaster-site surveys, and reactor exploration. In the future we envision operating it as a planetary exploration robot, adapting to harsh environments on bodies such as Jupiter's moon Europa, where liquid water exists, to carry out detailed geological surveys and search for traces of life.
